Biography of Poser 58
Vinny had been playing guitar for a little while when his friend Matt, moved one street over from his in spring of '01. Vinny had played in a cover band with Brian for a while but they were in need of a new bassist. Fortunately, Matt had recently picked up the bass after an attempt at the guitar failed. So they broght him aboard. After a few months of being a cover band, they started writing their own songs. This is the point that they like to refer to as the actual starting point for the band.
Poser 58 has had many other band names including some such as Shrinkage, Defenestration, and Nostalgic Trip. Many question them as to why they chose the name Poser 58. The members are always making up stories as to why they chose this particular band name. The real answer has not been revealed yet.
The members of Poser 58 can be constantly seen making fun of ghetto kids, preps, and even some of the punk rock aspects and views. Poser 58 seems to have two sides to it. A childish, perverted, and immature side, and a soft, serious, and political side.

Instrument and Set up: I use a Gibson Les Paul Special SL Humbucker into a Zoom 505II pedal into a Poly-Patch P-175 PA head which feeds a Yamaha Thirty 112 amp and a Squier Champ 15 Watt amp. I use Dunlop .60 mm picks and Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Strings.

Goals: Right now, all i want to do is to get really good and play somewhere like the El n' Gee or somthing, that will be the day when i can say, "We're playing at the El n' Gee next week" or some variation of that, i dream about that everyday now
Interesting Facts: I sleep with a stuffed green bear named "Crabs", i like to pick apples, i listen to some Madonna (Ray of Light), i have a fear of high numbered exits on I-95, and (during deep concentration) i go on a spree of licking my lips.

General stuff: Sometimes im unbelievably hyper and obnoxious and stupid, as annoying as it gets that is probably the best time to be around me. Cause its that or the depressed me, the depressed me is not fun to be around, Im not mean or anything, but im mad-friggin quiet and i cant really cocentrate on anything and i tend to be a little strange (anyone in my english class (Block A Helvig) has seen this side of me, the worst was today (November 28th I believe)) but ya know what? It doesnt really matter lol, i dont really even know why im writing this, im tired, im bored.. i gotta put some music on...

Most favorite place to be: playing a decent gig, around my friends (assuming we're happy,) in my kitchen mocking the 'punks' stupid morals to Vinny (being 'punk', haha, is about being yourself, and not caring what others think; not trying to fit into another clique) (ah the good times lol) or a kickass concert
More general stuff (hey give me a break im bored): My favorite sport is ice hockey, im a goalie, i play for the high school team. I can rarely compose an entire song because i will write part of it, let it sit around for about a week, realize it sucks, and throw it away.
